Over the years, Saddleback College has had some great moments in athletics.  This is what was happening on this date in the past.

On this date in 2018 the Saddleback baseball team defeated Irvine Valley College, 11-5.  Saddleback scored seven runs in the sixth inning in coming from behind to beat the Lasers.  Saddleback improved to 16-3 overall with the win.  Pitcher Chase Spinning (pictured) came on in relief to pitch five innings in picking up the win, surrendering only one hit.  Riley Kasper and Brett Auerbach led Saddleback on offense.  Kasper finished 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs-scored while Auerbach was 4-for-5 and two RBI, extending his hitting streak to 11 games.

On this date in 2019 Saddleback women's track & field turned in a solid performance at the Occidental College Spring Invitational Meet.  Saddleback was dominant in the 800 meters, finishing 1-2 with Megan Good (pictured right) and Dana McGrath (pictured left).  Good set the program record in the 800 meters when she ran the distance in 2:14.25, shaving 3.69 seconds off of her personal best.  Rylee Kerr and Alycia Turner also finished 1-2 in the 400 meters, respectively, while Samantha Chasteler finished first among community college athletes in the hammer throw.
