On this date in 2016 the Saddleback men's track and field team won a meet with three Orange Empire Conference foes at Santa Ana College. Saddleback won 11 events on the day in sweeping past Santa Ana College, Golden West College and Orange Coast College. Saddleback was dominant across the board, winning at the distance, sprints and throws. Antonio Moralez won both the 200 meters (23.25) and 400 meters (50.22) while Miles Brubacher and Bryce Callender won the distance events. Trevor Massey won the 110-meter hurdles (15.62) before teammate John Pease won the 400-meter hurdles (58.91). Nick Sine was a winner in the triple jump (12.35m) while Constantine Kamarullah captured the shot put (13.81m). Luigi Gonzalez won the discus throw (41.51m) while Aria Sadeghi was a winner in the hammer throw (45.24). In addition, the men's 4x400 relay team was a big winner, blowing away the competition in a time of 3:26.92.
On this date in 2017 the Saddleback softball team won a double-header against Taft College (8-0) and East Los Angeles College (8-3). With the wins, Saddleback improved to 12-9 on the season. Saddleback rode the right arm of pitcher Nelsa Delagente, who won both games. Delagente pitched five innings in the opener as Saddleback won by the mercy rule. She then pitched a complete game later in the day. The Saddleback offense was on display in the late game, with three home runs. Carley Buonarigo hit two home runs while Hope Manuszak hit another.
On this date in 2014 the baseball team defeated Fullerton College, 5-4, to take over first place in the Orange Empire Conference standings. Saddleback scored a run in the bottom of the ninth inning in completing a comeback. The baseball team trailed 4-2 heading into the seventh inning and scored solo runs in each of the final three innings. The Saddleback bullpen did the rest, surrendering just three hits over the final 5.1 innings of work as Coleman Huntley picked up his fourth win of the season.
