Over the years, Saddleback College has had some great moments in athletics.  This is what was happening on this date in the past.

On this date in 2019 the baseball team defeated Golden West College, 11-3.  Saddleback received a great performance on the mound from Nick Hernandez (pictured), who pitched eight innings while the offense wrapped out 16 hits.  Hernandez struck out nine Rustlers on the day while Ryan Thibert, Zack Bowman and Nick Lopez all had three hits apiece. 

On this date in 2014 the Saddleback softball team swept a double-header against Chaffey College (11-3) and El Camino College (13-9) to run its winning streak to nine straight.  Christina Pantages (pictured) came off the bench to hit a grand slam in the opening game as Saddleback won by the 8-run rule, scoring six times in the bottom half of the third inning.  Samantha Molina hit a home run and finished with five RBI in the late game as Saddleback improved to 21-9 on the season.

On this date in 2016 Nick Prudhomme (pictured) led Saddleback to a second place finish at an OEC match in Costa Mesa.  Prudhomme fired a 1-under-par round of 71 on the 6,500-yard layout.  The team score of 374 was easily the best round of the season for Saddleback, who finished nine shots back of Cypress.  Prudhomme was joined by Troy Ditzler (73), Jack Lutz (74) and Alex Diaz (76), who all shot one of their best rounds of the year.
