On this date in 2016 the Saddleback baseball team defeated Cypress College, 4-1, to move into first place in the Orange Empire Conference. Saddleback would eventually go on to win the OEC for the first time in 18 years. Andrew Wilson (pictured) finished 2-for-4 for the game, as Saddleback scored four times in the top half of the ninth inning to rally to beat the Chargers. Wilson led off the ninth with a double and scored the tying run on a single by Robbie Biehl. The pitching combination of Jackson Rees, Chase Lyford, Jordan Scheftz and Daniel Endsley held Cypress to six hits on the afternoon.
On this date in 2014 the Saddleback softball team defeated Orange Coast College, 14-2, to improve to 21-9 overall. Christina Pantages (pictured) had a huge day, finishing 4-for-4 with four runs-scored five RBI. She led off the scoring with a solo home run in the second inning as Saddleback won by the 8-run rule in six innings.
On this date in 2013 the Saddleback men's tennis team defeated Fullerton College, 8-1. Saddleback won 5-of-6 singles matches, led by Kevin Stanley (pictured). Saddleback lost just three sets all day in improving to 9-10 overall and 5-4 in Orange Empire Conference play. Stanley won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles before teaming with Will McKinney at No. 2 doubles for an 8-1 win.
