Saddleback athletes boast high GPA’s
The Saddleback athletics program received some great news this week when it was reported that the athletes had accumulated a tremendous Grade Point Average (GPA) in the classroom for the 2022-23 school year. The Bobcats had a 3.35 cumulative GPA, which is likely to win them some honors in the future.

Last year Saddleback had two teams win the state award for academic success in baseball and men's golf. This year they should have a few more teams in the mix for awards as the overall GPA of the department ballooned to new heights.
Saddleback had 17 of the 19 teams that participated in athletics last year achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.0-or-higher. Amazingly, 66 of the 360 athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA with 245 athletes achieving a 3.0-or-higher.
Women's tennis led the way for Saddleback with a 3.68 cumulative GPA. The team had six of its 10 players with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Baseball had another banner season in classroom, totaling a 3.61 GPA. The baseball team had 32 of its 35 players achieve a 3.0-or-higher GPA for the year.
Men's tennis had a 3.59 cumulative GPA as all seven athletes had a 3.0-or-higher, with four of them boasting a 4.0 GPA.
Women's golf had three players achieve a 4.0 GPA and had a cumulative 3.56 for the year.
