A quick glance at the midway point of the semester
TRACK & FIELD
The men's track and field team turned in a dominant performance at the OCC Classic, with the Bobcats bringing home five event wins in an impressive showing. The Bobcats will be back in action at the Moorpark College Invitational on April 3.
The women's track and field team is set to compete at the Moorpark Invitational on April 3 as well, with their sights set on strong finishes across multiple events. With the OEC Conference standings still in mind, the women are focusing on continuing to build momentum, improve their ranking, and make meaningful strides toward qualifying for the state meet.
SWIM & DIVE
The men's swim and dive team has competed in two events so far this spring, finishing 5th in both outings as they continue to home in on their skills. They'll look to improve on those results at their next competition on April 10th, competing in the SoCal Diving Championships and the OEC Finals.
On the women's side, the team delivered a strong performance at last week's OEC event, finishing 4th overall. A standout highlight came from Delaney Cowan, who had an impressive meet with two first-place finishes in the 200 butterfly and the 400 individual medley, leading the way for the team.
BASEBALL
The Saddleback baseball team is off to a competitive start in the Orange Empire Conference, holding a 4-3 conference record and sitting at 14-12 overall. Currently in fifth place in conference play, the Bobcats are still in the mix with 14 games remaining on the schedule.
Looking ahead, Saddleback hosts the Riverside City College Tigers in the second game of their three-game series on Thursday, March 26th at 2:00 PM at home.
SOFTBALL
Keeping it on the diamond, the softball team is making strong statements in the Orange Empire Conference. The Bobcats currently sit alone in first place with an impressive 6-1 record in conference play while being 18-8 overall.
Saddleback's early success highlights a team that's not only finding ways to win but setting the tone as a top contender in their conference. The Bobcats play next at Riverside City College where they face off against the Tigers on Thursday at 2:00 PM.
FLAG FOOTBALL
It's not just softball that is making moves; flag football is off to a dominant start this season. The Bobcats are 15-1 overall and have begun conference play standing at 1-1, showing early control on both sides of the ball.
They will look to keep that domination as they are set to face off against IVC on Thursday, March 26. The game time is scheduled for 3:00 PM at Golden West.
BEACH VOLLEYBALL
Rounding things out, beach volleyball continues to compete hard in the Orange Empire Conference. The Bobcats are currently second in the conference standings at 6-1 with an 8-7 overall record.
The Bobcats will travel to Golden West on Friday where they will play Golden West and Santa Ana. Their match against Golden West is set to start at 11:00 AM. Shortly after they will face off against Santa Ana at 12:00 PM.
