Cats run win streak to two

The Saddleback beach volleyball team won a second straight match with a 5-0 victory over Fullerton College on Friday in Fullerton.  The Bobcats will play next at the San Diego mesa Tournament on Tuesday.

Saddleback made quick work of Fullerton, who entered the matchup shorthanded.  The Bobcats had a 2-0 when it started as a result of the Hornets having just three pairs for the day.

Saddleback opened with a win at #2 pairs when Cori Willcoxson and Kayla Ostovar opened with a dominating 21-7, 2-17 win.  Shortly thereafter, the team of Nicole Hylton and Hannah Ray at #3 pairs finished off a 21-4, 21-11 win.  Saddleback then won at the #1 pairs when Keelyn Lopez and Meg Gardner breezed to a 21-11, 21-15 win to close out the day.

Saddleback is now 2-2 to open the season.  The Bobcats are also 2-1 in Orange Empire Conference play.

Saddleback will play both Grossmont College and San Diego Mesa College on Tuesday at the SD Mesa Tournament.
