The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news this week with the announcement of another player from the 2024 state championship team deciding on a four-year school. Pitcher Zachary Allegro has made a commitment, giving the program eight commits for the off-season.
Allegro will play at Lewis-Clark State College, located in Lewiston, Idaho. The Warriors play under the NAIA umbrella within the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Allegro finished 3-3 with nine saves for the season and 4.53 ERA. His nine saves in 2024 set a new program record, breaking the old record if eight set in 2017 by Bradley Spooner. Allegro appeared in 33 games in two seasons at Saddleback.
