Two more baseball commitments
The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news this weekend with the announcement that two more players from the 2025 squad have committed to four-year universities. James Derflinger and Ruben Rodriguez are the latest commitments.
The Saddleback baseball program was back in the news this weekend with the announcement that two more players from the 2025 squad have committed to four-year universities. James Derflinger and Ruben Rodriguez are the latest commitments.
Derflinger will play at Vanguard University, located in Costa Mesa, California. The Lions play an NCAA D2 schedule within the PacWest Conference. Derflinger finished the season with a .298 batting average, also belting four home runs with 31 RBI. He led the team with four triples and 26 stolen bases.
Rodriguez will play at Fresno Pacific University, located in Fresno, California. The Sunbirds plan an NCAA D2 schedule within the PacWest Conference. Rodriguez played in 14 games for the Bobcats, finishing with a .306 batting average.
