Ashley adds name to commit list

The Saddleback football program announced that another member of the 2021 squad has committed to a four-year university.  Running back Anthodius Ashley has committed, giving the Bobcats 23 commitments to four-year universities.

In a year where transferring to four-year universities was supposed to be a challenge due to lingering pandemic issues and the transfer portal, the Saddleback football program is starting to make it look easy.  The Bobcats had their third commit in less than a week as Anthodius Ashley has committed to Missouri Southern State University. 

Ashley finished the season with 204 yards rushing and three touchdowns in 10 games this past season.  He also returned a handful of kicks and caught a pass, giving him 244 yards of total offense for the year.  Ashley's biggest game of the season came in week 10 when he ripped off a 42-yard touchdown run (pictured) and finished with 63 yards on three carries.

Ashley committed to Missouri Southern State University, located in Joplin, Missouri.  The Lions play an NCAA DII schedule within the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

Ashley is the 23^rd player from Saddleback to commit to a four-year school this off-season.
