Saddleback earns praise before big battle
The Saddleback football team is off to its best start since 2019, and the team is starting to generate some interest in the polls. The Bobcats appeared in both the state and national polls this week heading into a big showdown at San Diego Mesa College.

The Saddleback football team is off to its best start since 2019, and the team is starting to generate some interest in the polls. The Bobcats appeared in both the state and national polls this week heading into a big showdown at San Diego Mesa College.
Saddleback's 3-1 start has them sitting at No. 14 in the statewide California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) Poll. The Bobcats rose nine spots this week after a 38-10 win against Southwestern College.
Saddleback also made an appearance in the JCGridiron.com Dirty 30 (national) Rankings for the first time since the preseason. The Bobcats are at No. 30 in the rankings.
Saddleback faces San Diego Mesa this week, a program brimming with confidence after a 4-0 start. The Olympians are ranked No. 5 in the statewide poll and No. 6 in the nation according to JCGridiron.
Saddleback and San Diego Mesa are scheduled to start at 6:00 PM in San Diego this Saturday in a critical National Division Southern League matchup.
