Kukuk is the latest commitment

The Saddleback football program was back in the news this week with the announcement that another member of the 2024 squad has made a commitment to a four-year university.  Quarterback Trey Kukuk was the latest to make a choice after a visit to Louisiana Tech University over the weekend.

Kukuk gave a commitment to Louisiana Tech, located in Ruston, Louisiana.  The Bulldogs play an NCAA D1 schedule within the Conference USA.

Kukuk's commitment gives Saddleback 13 players off the 2024 team to commit to four-year schools. 

Kukuk completed 69.4% of his passes in 2024, throwing for 2,372 yards and 27 touchdowns.  He was also second on the team with 483 yards rushing, leading the team with six rushing touchdowns. 

Kukuk finished his Saddleback career with 3,647 yards passing and 38 touchdown passes.  The 3,647 yards passing ranks seventh all-time in Saddleback history while the 38 touchdown passes ranks tied for second. 

Kukuk lettered in football at Capistrano Valley High School before graduating in 2023.  While at CVHS, Kukuk was an all-state, all-county and all-league selection, earning league MVP honors.
