Cats moving up in the rankings
The 2025 fall athletic schedule has passed the halfway point and thus far it has been a successful season. Many of the teams are moving up in the state rankings heading into to play this week.

Women's soccer remains the top-ranked team in the state in the latest California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) Rankings after starting the season 7-1 overall and 2-0 in Orange Empire Conference play. The Bobcats are also No. 1 in the state power points system, which is a big factor in post-season playoff seeding. Women's soccer has a couple of massive games this week when they travel to No. 7 Cypress on Tuesday (3:00 PM) and then host No. 20 Orange Coast on Friday (3:00 PM).
Saddleback football is up to No. 11 in the state coach's poll and No. 13 in the country in the JCGridiron Dirty 30 National Rankings. The Bobcats are 4-1 to start the season after dominating Chaffey College on Homecoming night last weekend. Saddleback has a rare Thursday game this week when they travel to Mt. San Jacinto College. The Bobcats and Eagles are scheduled to start at 6:00 PM in San Jacinto.
Women's volleyball made its first appearance in the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA) Poll this week. The Bobcats are at No. 19 in the state rankings after starting the season 10-2 overall and 6-0 in Orange Empire Conference play. Saddleback has tough upcoming road battles against rival Irvine Valley College this Friday (6:00 PM) and No. 4 Orange Coast College next Wednesday (6:00 PM) to end the opening round of conference play.
