Saddleback had an impressive streak to finish the season, winning seven straight games including a 49-7 victory over El Camino College on the final day of the regular season with National Division Southern League title on the line.
Saddleback finished 9-1 overall and a perfect 7-0 in league play. The Bobcats averaged 40 points-per-game during the regular season while the defense gave up just 24 points over the final three weeks of the season.
Golden West College earned the top seed in the playoffs and, like Saddleback, will get a bye in the opening round of the playoffs on November 22. Mt. San Antonio College defeated Ventura College on Saturday night to win the Northern League title to earn the No. 3 seed. Ventura will be the 4-seed while Cerritos will be the 5-seed and El Camino the 6-seed.
El Camino will travel to Mt. San Antonio while Cerritos will travel to Ventura for the opening round of the playoffs. Saddleback will host the winner of Mt. San Antonio and El Camino on November 29.
