Blum Makes Bear Market Decision

The Saddleback football program was back in the news on Tuesday as another member of the 2025 squad has committed to a four-year university.  Defensive tackle Gavin Blum made a commitment to UCLA and will play for the Bruins in the Big Ten.

Blum has been swimming in offers in recent weeks as both Washington State and Oregon State came knocking along with UCLA late last week, bringing his total to close to 10 total offers.  The freshman from San Juan Hills High School couldn't resist the last, saying yes to the Bruins.

Blum finished the season with 35 total tackles and a team-leading 10 tackles-for-loss and 5.5 sacks.  Following the season, he was named to the All-National Division Southern League First Team as a result.

Blum becomes the eighth member of the football team to sign at a four-year school since the end of the season, all of which are NCAA D1 commitments.
