Flag Football earns monthly award

The Saddleback flag football program has started its second season of competition, and the Bobcats are coming off a great season where they finished 12-5 and ranked No. 22 in the nation according to womenscollegeflagfootball.com (WCFFB).  The folks at WCFFB have now named Saddleback College the team-of-the-month for January.

Saddleback played a pair of games at the Great Park in Irvine last month, defeating both Redlands University (12-6) and Hope International University (18-12).  Saddleback's quick start earned them the award from WCFFB, topping every other college in the nation.  Honorable mention status was given to both La Sierra University and Grand Canyon University. 

Saddleback plays again on February 11 when it hosts Ventura College, with the Bobcats and Pirates scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM.  Saddleback then hosts a tournament on February 20, featuring nine programs from the Southern California community college ranks.
