Bobcats to face Cerritos in playoff opener
The Saddleback men’s basketball team found out over the weekend that it had made the 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Bobcats will play at Cerritos College on Wednesday.

The Saddleback men's basketball team found out over the weekend that it had made the 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Bobcats will play at Cerritos College on Wednesday.
Saddleback was seeded 22nd and will travel to Cerritos, who was seeded 11th. The Bobcats and Falcons played in a scrimmage before the season but did not meet during the regular season.
Saddleback enters at 12-17 overall and were sixth place finishers in the Orange Empire Conference. Cerritos is 20-8 and was champions of the South Coast Conference South Division.
Saddleback is 10-14 lifetime against Cerritos. The last time the two programs played was during the 2022-23 season when Saddleback defeated Cerritos in the consolation bracket of the Riverside City College Tournament (69-59).
Saddleback is 5-11 against programs that qualified for the playoffs. Cerritos enters the opening round at 7-5 against playoff qualifiers.
The winner of Wednesday's game will travel to San Diego City College on Saturday.
