Gauchos fourth on the links

The Saddleback men's golf team finished in fourth place in Orange Empire Conference play on Monday at Tustin Ranch Golf Club in Tustin.  Jackson Blogg led the way for the Gauchos after shooting 74.

Saddleback is locked into a tight battle for third place in the conference standings as the Gauchos near the half way point of the conference schedule.  Saddleback moved a game closer to third place as a result of a fourth place finish on Monday.

Saddleback was led by Blogg, who carded a 2-over-par round of 74 on the 6,842-yard layout.  Blogg (pictured) started out slowly but finished strong in finishing fourth in individual play on a day when scores were high.  He started play in a tie for 11^th place in the Orange Empire Conference individual standings and moved into 8th with the finish.

Saddleback shot 400 as a team, 23 shots back of first place Cypress College.  The Gauchos are now 8-12 overall and one game back of both Riverside City College and Mt. San Antonio College in the conference standings. 

Saddleback will be back on the links next Monday when they travel to Industry Hills Golf Club.  The first tee time is scheduled for 11:00 AM.
