Unbeaten streak hits four
The Saddleback men’s soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to four games with a 2-0 win at Santiago Canyon College on Tuesday in Orange. The Bobcats had two first half goals in the win.

The Saddleback men's soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to four games with a 2-0 win at Santiago Canyon College on Tuesday in Orange. The Bobcats had two first half goals in the win.
Saddleback has been putting together some nice games in recent weeks and played one of its more complete games of the season on Tuesday against Santiago Canyon. The Bobcats scored a pair of first half goals, and unlike the last time out at Santa Ana they managed to close out the game with a win.
Saddleback scored in the 27th minute when Braeden Collins scored his fourth goal of the season for a 1-0 lead. The Bobcats made it 2-0 when Jason Starcks put one in the back of the net for his fourth goal of the season.
The two goals would be all that Saddleback needed as the Bobcats outplayed the Hawks for the majority of the game. Saddleback held a 17-9 advantage in total shots, including a 9-4 edge in the second half.
Cam Caveney played the entire game in goal, saving all four shots on goal to improve to 3-3-1 on the season.
Saddleback is now 4-7-2 overall and 3-3-1 in Orange Empire Conference play. The Bobcats are alone in fourth place in the conference standings with seven games remaining in the regular season.
The four-game unbeaten string is the first of the season for Saddleback. The Bobcats will try to make it five on Friday when it hosts Golden West College inside the stadium at 3:00 PM.
