Men’s track wins El Camino meet
Cats win six events
The Saddleback men's track & field team had a big performance this past Saturday, winning the five-way meet at El Camino College in Torrance. The Bobcats had six wins at the event.
Griffin Schwab was the headliner, winning two events. Schwab was a winner in the 110 hurdles when he broke the tape at 16.25, which was the 10th fastest time in the state this season. Schwab also won the high jump, an event he finished second in the state last season. Schwab cleared 2.00 meters to win the event on Saturday, which equaled the top leap in the state this season and met the "A" standard. Joining Schwab in the "A" standard club in the high jump was Rylan Edrosolano, who cleared 1.90 meters to finish second for the day. It has Edrosolano tied for fifth in the state so far.
Isaiah Williams had a big day as well, winning the long jump while finishing second in the 100 meters. Williams jumped 6.73 meters to win the long jump, which was his season-best and put him in fourth place in the state this season.
