Bobcats rally at OEC championships

The Saddleback men's water polo team rallied for a 13-11 victory over Orange Coast College on Friday in the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) semifinals at Riverside City College (RCC).  The Bobcats will play Golden West College in the finals on Saturday.

Saddleback trailed 7-4 midway through the second quarter when they finally hit the gas pedal to close the gap on the Pirates.  Saddleback finished out the half with goals from Donald Robertson, Alec Isaacman and Carson Williams to trail 7-8 at the intermission. 

The two teams traded blows for the next six minutes before Isaacman netted a pair of goals to close out the third quarter with an 11-9 lead.  It was a lead the Bobcats would never relinquish as Robertson scored early in the fourth quarter and Orange Coast would never get back to even.  Saddleback would ice the game in the closing minute on a goal from Bradley Pearce for a 13-11 advantage.

Saddleback is now 20-6 overall and 5-1 in Orange Empire Conference play following the win.  The Bobcats will play Golden West College in the OEC Finals at 3:10 PM at RCC.
