Saddleback was looking to bounce back from a slow start after losing twice on Friday to start the season. The Bobcats did just that, defeating Cerritos College and Southwestern College to break even at the tournament.
Saddleback started the day with a 12-10 victory over Cerritos College in the morning. The Bobcats never trailed in the game, leading 7-5 at the half after Henry Moore had a big half with four goals in the opening 12 minutes of the game.
Cerritos scored the opening goal of the season half before Saddleback rattled off four straight goals to take an 11-6 lead late in the fourth quarter. The Bobcats would hang on for a 12-10 victory as Michael Adams and Fin Perry both scored a pair of second-half goals.
Saddleback had a slow start in game two against Southwestern, falling behind 2-1 in the opening. The Bobcats then found their offense, blowing past the Jaguars for an easy win. Jayden Rose had a mammoth game, scoring nine goals against Southwestern. Rose scored five times in the opening half as Saddleback opened up a 10-5 lead at the break.
