The Saddleback men's water polo team finished 3-1 in their tournament on Friday and Saturday inside the Saddleback Aquatics Center. The Bobcats rallied to beat Palomar in the final game.
Saddleback had four close games in two days and came out on the winning side three times. The last came against Palomar on Saturday afternoon when the Bobcats scored six times in the final quarter to pull out a win.
Saddleback led for a total of 25 seconds heading into the fourth quarter when they turned up the gas. The Bobcats finally drew even on two occasions in the fourth quarter. The final time was when Michael Adams (pictured) scored at the 3:23 mark to tie the game at 8-8. Morgan Lee would then put the Bobcats ahead with a goal at the 2:42 mark before Callum Murphy capped off the scoring with 50 seconds remaining for a 10-8 victory.
Saddleback is now 7-6 overall following the win. The Bobcats will be back in action on Wednesday at Orange Coast College in Orange Empire Conference play. Saddleback and OCC are scheduled to start at 3:00 PM in Costa Mesa.
