Bautista leads Cats at Golden West

The Saddleback men's cross country team was in action on Friday at the Golden West Invitational in Huntington Beach.  Jonathan Bautista led the way for the Bobcats.

Bautista finished the 4-mile trek in 22:20.89 to finish 35^th out of 211 harriers to start the race.  He was just 30 seconds from a top 20 finish in his first race of the season.

Ian Moore broke the tape in 23:08.52 to finish second among the Bobcat runners and 65^th overall.  Rounding out the team score for Saddleback was Jace Orsini (130^th), Luke Cymbor (147^th), Zander Barrera (160^th) and Andrew Carranza (162^nd). 

Saddleback had a team score of 380 to finish 14^th out of 21 teams at the event.

Saddleback will compete again at the Bakersfield Invitational in two weeks.
