The Saddleback softball program is gearing up for one of the more exciting starts to a season. The new stadium is nearing completion, and the new coach is working hard to put together a competitive squad.
Saddleback hired Krysten Fisher to be the sixth coach in program history during the summer. She spent the past seven years as the associate head coach at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. Previous to that, Fisher coached at JSerra Catholic high school for two years as the head varsity coach.
Fisher says excitement is in the air for this coming season.
"I'm looking forward to getting out on the dirt for our first game with this talented group of athletes," Fisher said.
Fisher and the Bobcats are putting the final touches on the 2025 schedule, which will officially be released in the coming months. The new softball complex is expected to be completed near the end of the year.
