Cammarato wins early award

Cammarato is 2-0 to start the season

The Saddleback softball team got off to a 3-0 start this past weekend, with starting pitcher Kylee Cammarato winning her first two collegiate starts.  Cammarato was awarded an honor following the week.

Cammarato was named the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) Pitcher-of-the-Week following her 2-0 start.  She pitched two complete games in defeating Cerritos College (4-1) and Santa Barbara City College (10-4).

Cammarato struck out 16 batters in 14 innings of work, including six strikeouts in the final three innings of the win against Cerritos.

Cammarato is a freshman from Capistrano Valley Christian High School.
