Colette Howren has a big day
The Saddleback softball team picked up a 7-2 win at Mt. San Jacinto College on Tuesday in San Jacinto. The Bobcats have two non-conference games remaining before heading into Orange Empire Conference play.
Colette Howren had a big day, leading the Cats both on the mound and at the plate. Howren pitched a complete game on the mound to improve to 3-2 on the season. She struck out six Mt. San Jacinto batters in the process. Howren also provided some big blows with the bat, finishing 2-for-4 at the plate. Howren's final hit of the day was a triple to right-center field to score Ehva Cifuentes-Zombulovic with the final Bobcat run.
Cifuentes-Zombulovic joined Howren with a pair of hits on the day. She was 2-for-4 with two RBI on the afternoon. Cifuentes-Zombulovis now has a team-leading 24 RBI through 17 games.
Saddleback is now 11-6 overall following the win. The Bobcats have a double-header at Bobcats Field against San Diego Mesa College on Friday. The opening game is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM.
