Cats dominate All-OEC ballots
The Saddleback women’s soccer team won the Orange Empire Conference title this past Friday and were named the top seed for the upcoming 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs on Sunday. The Bobcats received more good news on Monday when the All-Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Teams were announced.

Saddleback had nine players and its coaching staff selected to the all-conference team on Monday. Jinan Said was named the OEC Co-MVP after leading the Cats with 11 goals and seven assists for the year while BJ McNicol and his staff were named the Orange Empire Conference Coaching-Staff-of-the-Year. Said was joined on the first team by Araylia Holiday, Hannah Allen, Karissa Franco and Samantha Arce.
Saddleback had four more selections to the second team in McKenna Pugh, Maycie Pugh, Kaiya Biller and Danielle Pirnat.
Saddleback finished the regular season 15-2-3 overall and 10-1-3 in Orange Empire Conference play. The Bobcats were named the top seed for the playoffs, which start this week. Saddleback will open the playoffs on Saturday against the winner of San Bernardino Valley College and Mt. San Jacinto College, who play earlier in the week.
