Cats sweep Jags for latest win

The Saddleback women's tennis team scored a 9-0 win against Southwestern College on Tuesday at the Saddleback Tennis Complex.  The Bobcats never lost a set in improving to 3-1 heading into Orange Empire Conference play.

Saddleback won by an aggregate score of 97-24 on Tuesday, breezing through most of the matches.  The Bobcats swept all three doubles matches to start.  Brooke Buser and Eleanor Hamlin were 8-1 winners at No. 1 doubles to open the scoring.  Kellie Hoang and Averie Valverde followed suit with an 8-0 sweep at No. 2 doubles.  Natalie den Dulk and Sienna Lyncheski then cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles to give the Bobcats a 3-0 advantage heading into singles play.

All six players were successful winning in singles play, with the most impressive win coming from Hoang at No. 3 singles when she swept past her opponent 6-0, 6-0. 

Saddleback is now 3-1 to start the season.  The Bobcats will open Orange Empire Conference play next Thursday when they host Fullerton College (3-0).  The Bobcats and Hornets are scheduled to start at 2:00 PM at the Saddleback Tennis Complex.
