Saddleback started slowly, falling behind 6-0 as the Bobcats looked a bit uncomfortable in front of their home fans for the first time this season. They shook off the nerves, rallying to even the score. The two teams were even the rest of the way in the opening set and Saddleback looked as if it would fall in the set, trailing 23-21. The Bobcats then rallied for a second time, scoring three straight points to take a 24-23 lead. They would eventually outlast the Vaqueros 26-24 to complete the comeback.
Saddleback looked confident in the final two sets, cruising past the Vaqueros 25-13, 25-10.
Saddleback is now 3-1 to start the season. The Bobcats will look for a fourth win on Friday when they host San Bernardino Valley College. Saddleback and SBVC are scheduled to start at 5:00 PM inside the gymnasium.
