Cats scratch up Chargers in OEC opener
The Saddleback women’s volleyball team opened up Orange Empire conference play with a 3-1 victory at Cypress College on Wednesday night in Cypress. The Bobcats will look to go to 2-0 on Friday when they host Riverside City College.

The Saddleback women's volleyball team opened up Orange Empire conference play with a 3-1 victory at Cypress College on Wednesday night in Cypress. The Bobcats will look to go to 2-0 on Friday when they host Riverside City College.
Saddleback jumped out to a 2-0 lead, putting Cypress in a huge hole. The dominated the opening set (25-16) before rallying in the second set by outscoring the Chargers 5-1 to finish the set for a 26-24 come-from-behind win.
Cypress won the third set in a tight battle (25-22) to force a fourth game. Saddleback didn't let the setback get to them, cruising past the Chargers in the fourth and final set, 25-7.
Saddleback is now 4-2 overall and 1-0 in Orange Empire Conference play. The Bobcats will host Riverside City College on Friday night at 6:00 PM inside the gymnasium.
