Cats win third straight
The Saddleback women’s volleyball team won its third straight match with a 3-0 victory over Chaffey College on Wednesday night in Rancho Cucamonga. The Bobcats host Golden West on Friday in a key Orange Empire Conference battle.

Saddleback worked quickly against Chaffey, breezing past the Panthers 25-13, 25-11 and 25-9. The Bobcats had big performances from a number of players, including Delaney Hughes. The sophomore from JSerra had 29 assists and five digs to guide the ship.
Hughes spent a lot of time feeding Sara Johnson and Sadie Holmes. Johnson led the team with 10 kills while Holmes had nine as the Bobcats enjoyed a .456 hitting percentage for the night.
Keelyn Lopez led the team with six digs while Lauren Todaro led the squad with four service aces.
Saddleback is now 6-2 overall and has won three straight games. The Bobcats will host Golden West College in what is shaping up as a big matchup in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play. The Bobcats and Rustlers are both 2-0 in OEC competition heading into Friday night.
