Cats swat Hornets for fifth straight win

Saddleback and Fullerton were locked in a tight battle in the opening set midway through when the Bobcats went on a run and pulled away for a 25-17 win. The team match was never close after that, as Saddleback won the final two sets 25-12 and 25-16 to beat the Hornets in an hour and 20 minutes.
Saddleback was very good in the defensive end, finishing with 61 digs in three sets. Keelyn Lopez finished with a team-high 15 while both Nicole Hylton and Lauren Todaro had 13 apiece. Hylton and Todaro also shared the lead with eight kills each.
Saddleback is now 8-2 overall and 3-0 in Orange Empire Conference play following the win. The Bobcats will travel to Santa Ana College on Friday, looking to extend the streak. Saddleback and Santa Ana are scheduled to start at 6:00 PM in Santa Ana.
