The Saddleback women’s volleyball team remained in second place in the Orange Empire Conference with a 3-0 win against Riverside City College on Wednesday night in Riverside. The Bobcats trail Orange Coast College by two games in the standings.

Saddleback wasted no time with Riverside City on Wednesday. The Bobcats jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the opening set on the way to a 25-17 win.
Saddleback had to work a bit harder in the second set after Riverside City went on a 12-6 run in taking a 14-12 lead midway through the set. The Bobcats then made a run of their own, scoring six straight points to take the lead and never looked back in winning 25-19.
Saddleback breezed to a 25-16 win in the final game of the night.
Sadie Holmes led the offensive attack for Saddleback, finishing with a game-high 11 kills for the night. Hannah Ray led the team with 24 assists while Lauren Todaro had 10 digs.
Saddleback is now 12-4 overall and 8-2 in Orange Empire Conference play. The Bobcats will attempt to win their third in a row on Friday night at Golden West College. Saddleback and Golden West are scheduled to start at 6:00 PM in Huntington Beach.
