Saddleback has now won three straight games over the past six days, giving them some confidence heading into the bulk of Orange Empire Conference play.
Saddleback opened with a hard-fought win against a Cerritos team with a similar resume. The Bobcats and Falcons combined for close to 35 ejections in a physical battle that went into overtime.
Saddleback scored with 37 seconds left in the fourth quarter to tie the game when Razann Kotarche tickled the twine to even the score at 11-11. The Bobcats then scored the only three goals of overtime to outduel Cerritos, 14-11, in double-overtime. Kotarche finished with a team-high four goals in the game, but it was Ashley Yee that scored all three goals in overtime to turn back the Falcons.
Game two was nothing like the first as Saddleback completely dominated from start to finish. The Bobcats won the game 19-1, leading 11-1 at the half. Meetra Jabbour (pictured) led Saddleback with five goals in the game while Saddleback goalies Roya Goldstein and Megan Parsley made seven saves in eight tries for the game.
Saddleback is now 7-7 overall for the season heading back into Orange Empire Conference play. The Bobcats will host Cypress College on Wednesday at 4:15 PM at the Saddleback Aquatics Center.
