Gauchos place seventh at Mt. SAC Invitational

The Saddleback women's cross country team placed seventh out of 18 teams which scored at the Mt. SAC Invitational on Friday in Walnut.

Freshman Andrea Loyola paced the Gauchos, covering the 3-mile course in 20:09 to finish 38th overall out of 143 runners.  Angel Vallier placed 42nd in 20:19 while sophomore Kimberly Jovanus was 45th in 20:27.

Freshmen Madelyn Galvez (21:26) placed 68th and Rachel Oberschelp (21:36) placed 75th to round out the team scoring. 

The Gauchos will take next week off before preparing for the Orange Empire Conference championship, scheduled for Friday, October 30, at Irvine Regional Park starting at 9:00 a.m.
