McGrath leads Gauchos to 2nd at Palomar

The Saddleback women's cross country team finished in second place at the Palomar Invitational on Friday at Guajome Park in Oceanside.  Sophomore Dana McGrath was the individual medalist in the race for the Gauchos.

McGrath finished six seconds ahead of her closest competitor, crossing the finish line in 19:59.  The Gauchos were well represented in the top-5 as freshman Nayelli Hernandez finished third and sophomore Cayla Porter was fifth.  Saddleback had two other top-20 finishers in Alexis Park (12) and Amarani Sanchez (19).

Saddleback finished with 40 team points, just an eyelash behind Riverside City College (31).
