Zerehgar 2nd at Cuyamaca

The Saddleback cross country teams were in action on Friday at the Cuyamaca Kickoff at Harry Griffith Park in San Diego.  Sophomore Kiana Zerehgar finished second overall.

Zerehgar had a solid showing in the opener in San Luis Obispo a week earlier and was trying to improve on a fourth place overall finish at the Tour de Cuesta.  She finished second out of 34 total runners to lead the Saddleback squad.

Right behind Zerehgar was Shae Barrera, who was third overall with a time of 14:00.  Saddleback had a third harrier in the top-10 as Jane Sorto was ninth with a time of 14:58.

Trinity Tullett (19^th) and Alondra Macedo (24^th) rounded out the team score as the Bobcats finished third overall in what was a very tight team finish.
