Barrera guides Bobcats at GWC Invite

The Saddleback women's cross country team finished seventh on Friday at the Golden West Invitational in Huntington Beach.  Shae Barrera led the Bobcats.

Barrera finished in sixth place overall out of 121 competitors.  She crossed the finish line of the 5k event in 20:10.81 to lead the Bobcats. 

Finishing just out of the top 10 for Saddleback was Kiana Zerehgar, who broke the tape in 20:23.99 to finish in 11^th place. 

Saddleback's other finishers included Jane Sorto (41^st), Alondra Macedo (68^th) and Adriana Ignash (72^nd). 

Saddleback was seventh out of 15 teams, finishing with 160 team points.  Orange Coast won the event, followed by East Los Angeles, Cerritos, De Anza and Bakersfield rounding out the top five. 

Saddleback will run again at the Bakersfield Invitational in two weeks.
