For a second straight season the Saddleback women's golf team collected hardware at the state tournament with a third place finish at the state finals in November.
Saddleback had some truly historic moments in 2022, including a perfect 60-0 record in Orange Empire Conference play. The Bobcats won the 10 conference matches by an average of 15.3 shots and won the OEC finals by 13 shots over Fullerton College.
Saddleback had some of the best rounds in the history of program in 2022, with a season-low round of 310 in the second round of the COD Invitational in August. The score of 310 was just three shots off the lowest round in Saddleback history, set in 2021.
Nicole Whipple had a career-best finish when she won medalist honors at the Southern California Regional Championships. Whipple shot (-4) 140 at the two-day event, including an opening round of 68 (-4). Behind her leadership, Saddleback won its second straight Southern California Regional title by seven shots over Fullerton.
Saddleback had four players named to the All-Orange Empire Conference Team, with Whipple making the first team and Caitlin Randolph, Kenzie Edson and Karissa Flores all making the second team.
